Kodak Black has pleaded not guilty to trafficking MDMA in Florida last year.
The Orange County Sheriffâs Office revealed that the Super Gremlin rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, appeared at a court hearing on Thursday afternoon on the drug trafficking charge.
Black entered a written plea of not guilty and asked for a jury trial. He also waived appearing in person at a future arraignment hearing in state court.
The alleged incident that took place during a November 2025 police search in Orlando, Florida.
Officers had responded to a 911 call about gunshots, and searched vehicles that were in the vicinity of the incident, according to the police report obtained by ABC News.
âEveryone on scene was asked if the bag or its contents belonged to any of them, and all denied ownership, including Bill Kapri,â the report alleged.
âWhen Kapri was informed of the money in the bag, he attempted multiple times to have the money turned over to him, claiming it belonged to his business. Kapri, however, would not claim the bag or any of its contents,â the report stated.
The judge set his bond at $75,000 (£55,000), citing 12 previous felony convictions, two misdemeanour convictions and one failure to appear. He said the fact that Black was a rapper had âno bindingâ.
