He also expressed concerns about safety for himself, his fans, band, crew, and family due to unfounded threats.
Country star McBride also announced her withdrawal from the event, stating that she was led to believe it was a nonpartisan celebration of all 50 states. However, as things evolved, she realized the event had more political weight than she had anticipated. McBride reassured her fans that she was not abandoning the meaning behind her music.
The remaining artists on the lineup include Vanilla Ice, Fab Morvan from Milli Vanilli, C+C Music Factory, Flo Rida, and Kid Rock, who is a regular at Trump concerts. The Great American State Fair was organized by Freedom 250, a group formed by the Trump administration, and is scheduled to take place from June 25 to July 10.
