Music News: Cardi B Vs Homeland Security

Cardi B has engaged in an online feud with the Department of Homeland Security.

The rapper clashed with the US government on social media this week after criticizing Immigration and Customs Enforcement's recent arrests.

During her concert in Palm Desert, California, Cardi, 33, threatened to confront ICE agents if they showed up. She stated, "If ICE comes in here, we gon' jump they a*ses. I've got some bear mace in the back! They ain't taking my fans, b***h."

In response, a DHS representative, which oversees ICE, shared a news article about Cardi's remarks and commented, "As long she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior."

"Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive," Cardi wrote, reflecting on her past before fame. "I never claimed to be perfect or come from a perfect world... I have a past I can't change."

When DHS revisited the issue, Cardi, whose full name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, promptly criticized the government's handling of evidence files related to Jeffrey Epstein, an accused sex trafficker.

"If we talking about drugs let’s talk about Epstein and friends drugging underage girls to rape them," she stated. "Why y’all don’t wanna talk about the Epstein files?"

Following the Department of Justice’s release of over three million files, numerous influential individuals have been implicated. Despite President Donald Trump's name reportedly appearing over 4,000 times, he has denied any involvement with Epstein and stated he ceased contact with him decades ago.
