Taking to social media on , with a photo of her sitting at a white Yamaha grand piano at the 2002 American Music Awards, Britney Spears vowed she will “never perform†in the United States again.
It was during the January 2002 ceremony that the embattled pop star performed “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman,†from the movie Crossroads, and in her accompanying caption, she confirmed plans to gift the piano to one of her sons, confirming:
“Sending this piano to my son this year!!!†“Interestingly enough, I dance on (Instagram) to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…â€
Due to “extremely sensitive reasons†the 44-year old songstress stated that she’ll never perform live in the U.S. again, adding “But I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon.â€Â
Sharing sons Sean Preston (20,) and Jayden James (19,) with ex-husband Kevin Federline, though Spears didn’t clarify which child she was referring to, she previously shared footage of “genius†son Jayden playing the piano. Britney also posted a mirror selfie of herself and her younger son via Instagram this week with the caption “He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!â€
