Lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger is being sued by choreographer Robin Antin - the groups founder - over plans for a reunion tour.
According to the suit filed on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Scherzinger, now 43, agreed to a reunion of the sexy girl group - responsible for such hits as Don't Cha and Stickwitu." - agreeing to 49% of the deal under a short-form agreement referred to in the suit as a Memorandum of Understanding.
Following the cancelation of the original dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the law suit claims that Nicole now refuses to participate in the tour and has demanded to renegotiate the terms of her contract, including a 75% stake along with final decision-making authority, and won t participate unless her demands are met.
Because no tour dates can be confirmed due to the legal issue, the touring company, Live Nation, is said to be demanding $600,000 that it funded in advance of the tour.
Scherzinger is the most famous breakout star of the Pussycat Dolls, which Antin founded in 1995 as a burlesque act, though her heightened position within the group - due in large part to her lions share of vocals - caused friction among the other members.
