Vanessa Berlowitz, who is the executive producer of Queens, has said that the documentary is a wild departure from anything you’ve ever experienced with natural history storytelling and also added that we are accustomed to a narrative where the male animal voice often outshines that of the misperceived gentler sex.

She concluded the statement by further adding that in Queens, females drive the story and also indicated that the most accomplished women in the industry get behind the camera to turn things on their heads. The documentary will reveal many surprising insights into how females rise to power and often rely on cooperation and wisdom over brute strength to go ahead. 

The last episode of this documentary will pay tribute to the women who have traveled across the farthest reaches of the Earth and have dedicated their lives to documenting and safeguarding the queens of the animal kingdom.
